November 7 - Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Saeed Jalili, called on Middle-Eastern countries to "maintain viigilance" against efforts by the hostile, Western imperialist bloc to undermine regional stability, according to the independent Fars News Agency (FNA).

"Regional states should be more serious in their efforts to boost regional and strategic ties in the face of common interests and threats," Secretary Jalili said, in a meeting on Thursday with Syrian Foreign Minister, Walid al-Muallem.

Iran's Press TV also reported on the senior official's remarks, adding that Jalili emphasized the importance of maintaining regional stability against plots by hostile enemy powers, especially covert attempts, as the basis for preserving and defending regional sovereignty against the expansionist and adventurous policies of the imperialist, hegemonic bloc.

On a side note, the meeting between the Secretary and the Syrian Foreign Minister represented further strengthening of ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and its Arab neighbors. Despite the lies and propaganda of Washington and Tel Aviv, Tehran has developed exceptional relations, defined as "strategic, excellent and unique" with its Arab allies across the region.

Both Jalili and Muallem agreed that strategic cooperation between Tehran and Damascus would be imperative towards further reinvigorating the development of regional ties to protest common interests against the "arrogant powers," a sharp reference to the United States and its NATO-allies.
