New evidence reveals collaboration between pre-war Poland and Hitlerite Germany

From the FMP News Room:

August 31 – Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) is expected to release new, groundbreaking documents from its historical archive today providing detailed evidence into Nazi German and Polish collaboration prior to the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War.

According to the SVR, the documents indicate that both the Polish bourgeois pre-war regime and the so-called Polish “government in exile” during the war were ripe with infiltrators from both German and British intelligence services. This includes pre-war Polish Foreign Minister Jozef Beck, which the documents reveal was working for German foreign intelligence, and exiled Prime Minister Stansilaw Mikolajcyzk, who was an agent of the British Foreign service in 1943 and 1944.

The details of the negotiations between Nazi Germany and the reactionary bourgeois nationalist regime of pre-war Poland show that the two had made a secret pact in 1934, which include a planned invasion of the Soviet Union. Among the evidence anticipated for public release is a photograph of German Chancellor Adolf Hitler in the office of Polish Foreign Minister Beck in Warsaw, 1934.

According to the SVR’s Public Relations and Mass Media Bureau, responsible for briefing the media and public on the activities of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, the archived evidence shows unequivocal aggression on behalf of the bourgeois Polish regime towards the Soviet Union leading up to the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War in 1941. The new evidence also provides an important element in further justifying the controversial “Molotov-Ribbentrop” Non-Aggression Pact of 1939, which provided a strategic delay of hostilities between the Soviet Union and Hitlerite Germany.

For decades Western bourgeois historians and Polish nationalists have attempted to cover-up the degree of collaboration between Nazi Germany and the Polish bourgeois-nationalist regime. However, the public release of the aforementioned incontrovertible evidence may bring to light the criminal intentions and hostile aggression of both parties towards the Soviet Union.

Having voiced my opinion on this many times, I do not think that it is unique. People switch alliances all the time. The fact that Poles speculated about an alliance does not make Poles natural allies of Germans. Believe it or not, even some Zionists supported Hitler before they knew how bad he was.

  2. Besoshvili Says:

I don’t think the subject of “natural allies” was ever a question. Such a concept is anathema to the material realities of foreign affairs/international relations. The real issue at hand is that many have *denied* that such negotiations existed in the first place.

The problem begins when each side has their own definition of where the country boundaries lie. Oder seems to be a natural boundary where both sides get their share of the land.

You can prove that Poland supported national movements in Soviet occupied territory. But it is still ridiculous to claim that Poland saw Hitler as a reliable ally. If anything they saw USA as their ally. But really they perused interests that were independent of both Germany and Russia.

  5. Besoshvili Says:

The material evidence says otherwise: the Polish Foreign Ministry has now been proven to have met with senior figures from Hitlerite Germany to work towards the conclusion of a pact aimed at destroying the Soviet Union. No doubt they didn’t trust Hitler; but the archived documented evidence indicates that they were prepared to embark on an agreement with the Third Reich against the USSR.

“but the archived documented evidence indicates that they were prepared to embark on an agreement with the Third Reich against the USSR.”

Okay, if they were about to, why did they completely ignore diplomacy with the third Reich before they got invaded?

Poland at the time had enough problems to worry about nationalist movements in Russia. I think it goes to say Poland was best friends with England before Russia and Germany. Having friends so far away, but not honest enough creates additional problems.

  8. Besoshvili Says:

The Germans rebuffed efforts to align themselves politically with the Poles; ans saw it more expedient to pursue a non-aggression pact with the Soviets. Poland was never going to be a major player; they had to attach themselves to either Germany or Russia. The ruling regime in Poland in the 1930′s was antagonistic to both Germany and the USSR, but saw the former as a potential ally against “Eurasian Bolshevism.”

Poland became disillusioned when talks between Germany and the Soviet Union began turning friendlier, and the possibility of a non-aggression pact was raised through multiple diplomatic and trade channels leading up to 1939.

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch as I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch!
